RhythmTrail Steel Drum Band delivers authentic Caribbean steel drum music for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and live entertainment across the United States and internationally. Led by experienced musician Ephraim Adams, RhythmTrail blends traditional steel pan sounds with modern performance energy to create unforgettable event experiences.

Founder & Experience:

RhythmTrail is founded by Guyanese-born musician Ephraim Adams, a skilled steel pan performer and accomplished arranger with over 30 years of experience.

He began his musical journey at Bishops’ High School in Guyana, where his talent quickly earned him a leadership role in the school’s orchestra. His performances helped secure 1st place at the 1993 National School Band Competition, establishing him as a rising talent in the steel drum community.

Ephraim went on to perform with leading orchestras including the Banks Invaders Steel Orchestra and the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Steel Orchestra, gaining recognition as both a lead player and arranger. He also toured across Caribbean regions, promoting and preserving traditional steel pan music.

Awards, Achievements & Performance Experience

Ephraim Adams has built a distinguished career in Caribbean steel drum music, earning recognition for both his musical talent and cultural contributions.

He was part of the 1st place winning team at the National School Band Competition (1993) and later received the Arts & Culture Award (1999–2000) for his outstanding contribution to music. Ephraim is also the founder of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church Young Achievers Steel Orchestra and co-founder of The Live Wire Band, where he performed as a guitarist, steel drum soloist, and vocalist.

Since relocating to the United States in 2003, he has expanded his reach, performing at top venues and events while bringing authentic Caribbean steel pan music to diverse audiences.

  • When our dear friend lost his battle with cancer at age 42 we were left to grapple both with his loss and with his wish not to have a funeral or memorial service. Instead we decided to throw a party in celebration of his life, and his love of cruise vacations provided the theme for the evening. I was apprehensive about hiring a steel drum band because I didn’t want the occasion to be too over-the-top, or to seem disrespectful. When you came to set up and we discussed the situation I could tell immediately that you “got it”. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with your professionalism and with your sensitivity toward the occasion. You set exactly the right tone throughout the evening, giving us just the atmospheric cruise ship “pool deck” feel that we wanted, and that our friend would have greatly enjoyed.   • Found the artist very respectful, kind and courteous He was an excellent performer and really set the mood for our Luau theme party. He was set up to go almost an hour before he was supposed to, and started playing almost 30 mins before I had asked him to (which was a great thing). He was easy to work with, and knew all the songs I would have expected him to perform. He commanded a stage presence and was very friendly. I would definitely rehire Steel Drum Band RythmTrail for any other Beach/Caribbean themed party we ever have. Very professional company and easy to work with.
